Terms of Use

Welcome to World Monitor Terminal (“the App”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Data and Content Sources

The App provides global intelligence, threat mapping, news aggregation, and related features. A significant portion of the data and methodologies used in the App—including map data layers, event feeds, conflict and theater assessments, country instability metrics, and related intelligence content—is sourced from or derived from the services and data made available by worldmonitor.app and its associated API (api.worldmonitor.app). We integrate and present this content within the App for your convenience. We do not claim ownership of the underlying data or methodologies provided by worldmonitor.app; we use them under applicable arrangements to power the App’s intelligence and mapping features. Where other sources are used (e.g. news feeds, market data, live streams), they are attributed or identifiable within the App as appropriate. Your use of the App is subject to these Terms and does not grant you any rights in the data or systems operated by worldmonitor.app or other third-party sources beyond the limited right to view and use the App as provided here.

License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable Apple Media Services Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App or its content, or reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by applicable law. You may not use the App for any illegal purpose or in any way that could harm the App, our systems, or third parties.

No Professional Advice; Informational Only

The App is for general information and monitoring purposes only. Nothing in the App constitutes legal, financial, investment, military, security, or other professional advice. Map data, threat levels, country indices, market signals, and news content are provided “as is” for awareness and research. Do not rely on the App for decisions that could affect your safety, finances, or legal rights. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice where needed. worldmonitor.app and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data; events and conditions change rapidly and sources may lag or differ.

Subscriptions and Payments

The App may offer a paid subscription (“Premium”) that unlocks additional features (e.g. full map event details, ad-free experience). Subscription fees are charged by Apple through your Apple ID. Payment terms, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple’s policies and your agreement with Apple. We do not process payments directly. By subscribing, you agree to any pricing and terms displayed at the time of purchase. We may change subscription offerings or pricing with notice where required; continued use after changes may constitute acceptance. Free trials, if offered, are subject to the same subscription terms unless otherwise stated.

Advertising

The free version of the App may display third-party advertisements (e.g. via Google AdMob). Ad content and data practices are governed by the relevant ad provider’s policies. We are not responsible for the content or conduct of advertisers. Subscribing to Premium removes ads within the App as described in the App and in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and all content and features are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk. Data from worldmonitor.app, our API, or other sources may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate; we do not warrant such data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, and our and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or these Terms, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the App or these Terms exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred (100) US dollars, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our affiliates and our and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

Third-Party Services and Links

The App may integrate or link to third-party services, websites, and content (including worldmonitor.app, news sources, live streams, and market data providers). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services. Links do not imply our endorsement.

Changes to the App and Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms when we make material changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App. We may also modify or discontinue features or the App itself, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law (including with respect to active subscriptions).

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, to the extent permitted by law. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive termination.

General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your jurisdiction]. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction. For subscription and payment disputes, you may also use Apple’s dispute resolution options (e.g. Report a Problem).
